PTEC - Hands on with Concrete |

On February 23rd 2010 the educational committee of the ACI-Suncoast Chapter put on the 2nd of a four part series “Concrete 101”. There were over 50 students from the pTEC (Pinellas Technical Education Centers) construction class that attended this free seminar at their facility. The team leader for this class was
Mr. Tony Oliveira of Express Materials. This seminar brought us from the first on concrete materials to concrete field testing and demonstrating the testing equipment used. The 3rd seminar will be a field trip to a concrete lab with the 4th bringing us full circle with a field trip to a producing ready mix plant.
